Autobiography

Beatrice belonged to a Leeds Society called 'The Little Owls' which was a group of ladies who met regularly and gave talks about matters which concerned them. The texts of Beatrice's talks covered a wide variety of subjects. One of these was her 'autobiography' which is reproduced here. It refers to her childhood and early life. Another talk was about the City of Leeds. Although she did not go to school, Auntie Bea was a very keen sportswoman and there are photographs of her playing hockey, rounders and cricket in the family archive.
